About Shelby

M.A. Counseling

Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Shelby Hall is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas and Colorado, currently serving clients in Bryan/College Station. She has been practicing counseling in both in-patient and private practice settings for over 10 years. She provides a range of mental health counseling services to individuals, couples and families. While she has experience working with many different populations, she has a passion for working with teen, young adult, and adult women. Shelby’s counseling skills include working with clients who experience anxiety, depression, body image issues and life transition stresses – such as navigating high school pressures, going to college, obtaining a new job, entering marriage, becoming a new mom, or experiencing a divorce. Shelby also has a deep passion for helping couples together prepare for marriage and parenthood. She frequently speaks to moms as they work to balance motherhood and mental health.

Shelby attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing, with a minor in Psychology. After graduation, Shelby moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado to work at Focus on the Family in the research department. She spent many years at Focus conducting research projects and analyzing family issues. While there, she continued her education at Colorado Christian University where she received her Master’s Degree in Counseling. She then worked at The Eating Disorder Center of Denver for many years before opening her own counseling practice.

Shelby uses both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy techniques in the counseling process to help her clients achieve the changes they desire. She also finds the integration of faith in counseling to provide her clients with a holistic approach to healing – mind, body and spirit. Shelby believes the counseling process thrives in a trusting relationship and feels honored her clients allow her to join their journey.

Shelby is married to her husband, Charlie, and together they have three young daughters. Shelby enjoys spending time with her family, attending women’s bible studies, leading a young mom’s group at her church, reading, writing and enduring boot camp classes. As a former Aggie, she and her family attend A&M sporting events and love Saturdays in College Station!
